Paul Weston Eden PhotoArt
A mixture of photography and digital art – PhotoArt -for homes and offices. Beautiful landscapes, nature and nostalgic buildings, trucks, tractors, and automobiles.
Welcome to my PhotoArt gallery. I’m a self-employed website designer designer – 22 years now. My website is Inspired Design. In addition I volunteer as a pastor at Disciples Christian Fellowship. And I run this ministry, Kudos! Ministry.
I’ve been a photography buff since 1972. I saved up my money from shoveling horse barns, and at 14, my parents drove me to the big city of Denver and I purchased my first ‘real’ camera, a Pentax Spotmatic II with their famous Takumar lens.
When entering high school the journalism class needed photographers for the school newspaper and the year-end class annual. You had to supply your own camera, so that was easy. The best part was that I got free passes to get out class! We shot everything from candid shots of teachers and students in classrooms and on campus, music and drama events, and sporting activities at home and away. Sports photography was my favorite. We had a darkroom where I learned how to develop film and make prints. I found that to be as much fun as shooting.
My photography classmates were excellent photographers and I learned a great deal from them. In my senior year our journalism class won an award for the school annual. It was also that year that I entered a work-study program where I left school early and worked for a professional photographer for a few hours per day. I did grunt work, no real photography, and it was only portrait work, but I learned. After high school I worked at a local well-known and excellent camera store, Stewart’s Photo. I learned a lot about cameras, lenses, darkroom equipment, and photography in general, from being around pros and very knowledgeable amateurs. The owner’s son, Stu, had a darkroom in their family home where we spent many hours listening to old radio dramas while developing film and prints. These were the best years of my life.
Paul Weston Eden Photography and Digital Art – PhotoArt
Landscapes, Nature, Buildings
By employing a mixture of photography and digital art (PhotoArt) I try to produce interesting and beautiful images of things that interest me. The vast majority of the images were taken while on prayer walks or on long drives where I enjoy being with God. I’ll sometimes provide background on my art, a story or why I took the photograph. Generally, my work is landscape, interesting buildings and whatever gets my attention. Seeing the beauty of God’s creation and using angles, perspectives and times of day are as important as the item I’m viewing.
PhotoArt for Homes and Offices
The Joy of Quality Photography and Digital art.
Creating interesting pieces of PhotoArt that look great hanging in homes or offices, and not just backgrounds on computer screens, is important to me. I will work many hours getting a final image the way I want it. All prints are sized according to the file quality. I won’t enlarge an image beyond where it looks excellent on your wall. Our culture has gone so far into computer screens that, in many ways, we no longer value printed art. I want others to experience joy from a quality piece of art hanging in their home or office. Each piece of art is shipped to the buyer professionally mounted and framed on archive-quality paper, ready to hang.
I have more images coming. This is simply a start. The prices for framed art and stand-alone prints will be coming soon as well. If you see something you want, please email me using the contact form below and I will gladly work up a price for you.
Thank you for looking at my work.
